ALPAC Health Centre PET/CT is an outpatient diagnostic facility that serves Faisalabad and Punjab province. It would be Faisalabad’s first cancer diagnostic facility.
ALPAC Health Center PET/CT Imaging Centre is an outpatient diagnostic facility.
The Centre combines cutting-edge technology to perform high-quality Positron Emission Tomography scans in a pleasant setting for both physicians and patients.
What is a PET Scan?
PET is an abbreviation for “positron emission tomography”. It is a nuclear medicine imaging test in which a small quantity of liquid radioactive material is injected into the body and used to identify a wide range of disorders, including many forms of cancer, brain and heart problems.
The radioactive material most usually employed in PET scanning is FDG, a basic sugar (similar to glucose) that stands for “fluorodeoxyglucose”. It is injected into the circulation and accumulates in the body, releasing energy in the form of gamma rays. The PET scanner detects these signals, and a computer translates them into detailed pictures or images that depict how tissue and organs function. An FDG-PET scan examines your sugar metabolism (the way your body uses sugar). This is often utilised in cancer imaging since cancer cells require sugar to proliferate. FDG is also beneficial for visualising inflammatory and infectious processes, as well as brain metabolism.
PET scanners are linked with Computed Tomography (CT) scanners, resulting in PET-CT scanners. CT imaging use X-ray technology to provide detailed pictures of internal body sections. The PET-CT combo allows any abnormalities on the PET scan to be accurately localised within the body, resulting in more accurate identification of any disorders. The PET or PET-CT scanner resembles a huge box with a round hole in the centre.
We are committed to providing the most sophisticated PET/CT imaging technology to enable precise and early illness identification, allowing for quick and correct treatment options.
Alpac Health Center's objective is to provide great patient care by integrating cutting-edge imaging methods with compassionate and personalised service, ensuring that each patient receives the best level of treatment.
Alpac Health Centre aims to support complete cancer therapy by delivering thorough and trustworthy imaging data that assist physicians in developing and monitoring successful, individualised treatment regimens for each patient.
It would be the first facility of Cancer Diagnosis in the Faisalabad City.
